Sharon Roseme is a recovering attorney who lives in Newcastle with 2 cats and an occasional visit from her quasi-adult daughter. A quintessential Northern Californian (Tahoe is "the lake" and San Francisco is "the city") she is a 5th generation native of a Placer County ranching family, a graduate of UC Santa Cruz and of Berkeley's Boalt Hall School of Law. After 30 years of practice as a commercial real estate lawyer she opted for a lot more time and a lot less money. She now spends her time traveling and engaging in dilettante activism on women's shelters, foster kids, affordable housing, trails and mental illness. She also has a tiny writing business (www.yourpersonalscribe.com) which specializes in early "preneed" obituaries as well as wedding toasts and vows, internet dating descriptions, thank you and compliment letters, and other very short writings. Her poems show up unexpectedly but demanding to be written. They have not been published anywhere but here:
